Simon was born in Switzerland, grew up in New Zealand and went to film school in England. He is now a director and photographer living in New York.

In 2018, Simon wrote, directed and produced 'AN OPIOID CYCLE' which received Honors at the 2019 Webby Awards. It's a conceptual PSA film about America’s opioid crisis. The three minute stor about an opioid user loops infinitely online to reflect the nature of addiction & also represent how often someone starts using heroin in America. Every time the story completes a cycle (and seamlessly starts over) a counter clicks up to represent that a new person has started using heroin since you've been watching... 3,360 people a week, 14,400 a month etc.Inspired by a true story and featuring talent with an ongoing opioid addiction - the project's goals are to

A; bring awareness to the issue
B; challenge the stereotype about people who struggle with addictio and why they use drugs in the first place
C; encourage people to learn more, donate or get help
from NYHRE - the incredible Harlem based clinic that facilitated my research in this
project.
